Ten Ibi residents have lost their lives in a Boat Mishap.

In a tragic incident in Anyeshi, Benue State, a boat carrying residents from Ibi Local Government Area capsized, resulting in the loss of over ten lives.

Isa Mohammed, the Head of Local Government Administrator (HOLGA) in Ibi, confirmed the unfortunate event to our correspondent, noting that the victims have already been laid to rest.

Expressing condolences to the grieving families and the entire Ibi community, HOLGA Isa Mohammed stated that the exact number of individuals on the ill-fated boat is yet to be determined.

In light of this incident, Isa Mohammed urged the residents of Ibi Local Government to refrain from embarking on night voyages in the river to prevent further unforeseen tragedies.
