Students stabbed their teacher to death in Jalingo.

 

Students of Model Secondary Jalingo have stabbed their teacher to death.

The teacher whose name was identified as Bassy Sardauna was said to have been stabbed multiple times by some group of students while he was returning home after classes.

A close associate said the deceased was reported to have punished some group of students in the school, the students were said to have regrouped and attacked him.

Mr. Bassy Sardauna was rushed to the Federal Medical Center Jalingo for treatment but died hours later due to excessive bleeding.

The associate said the yet-to-be-identified students left no trace after the attack.

When contacted, the Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer SP Usman Abdullahi said the command has not received any official statement to that effect.

The growing rate of cultism among secondary school students in Jalingo is becoming a source of concern, this is the worst incident in recent times.
