Seventeen inmates have regained freedom in Taraba State.

The governor of the state, Doctor Agbu Kefas gave the pardon during his  Independence Day broadcast.

He also reversed the death sentences of four prisoners to life imprisonment in the State.

The governor said his administration is collaborating with relevant security agencies, to flush out criminals terrorizing the state.

Doctor Agbu Kefas appealed to Tarabans to support his administration to deliver on the gains of democracy.
