 Governor Agbu Kefas Seeks Army Support to Tackle Insecurity




Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has appealed for assistance from the Nigerian Army in addressing the security challenges in the state. He made this request during his visit to the Chief of Army Staff, General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.


The Governor expressed the preparedness of the Taraba State government to collaborate with the Chief of Army Staff to enhance security within the state. He specifically requested the deployment of additional troops to Taraba State to effectively combat insecurity.


In response, the Chief of Army Staff pledged military support for the governor's peace efforts. He revealed that Taraba State would serve as a strategic base for military operations in the North East region. As a result, a battalion of combatants would be deployed to Taraba State.
