Phrank Shaibu, Special Assistant on Public Communication to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has lambasted President Bola Tinubu's Independence Day speech, labeling it as lacking inspiration and filled with emptiness, leaving a sense of hopelessness in its wake.
Shaibu, in a statement issued on Sunday, asserted that Tinubu's address fell short of expectations, particularly concerning the long-awaited increase in the minimum wage.
He pointed out that instead of delivering on this crucial issue, Tinubu proposed a meager N25,000 ($25) allowance for the lowest-paid workers, valid for only six months.
This move, according to Shaibu, demonstrates a lack of empathy and innovative thinking on Tinubu's part.
