As the world observes International Day of Girl Child, the Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All, in Taraba has sued for collaboration in promoting education for girls.
The foundation is the umbrella body for non-profit organizations that promote education, took its sensitization to Female Model Primary School Jalingo, Our Lady Queen of Consolation Girl's Secondary School Mile Six, and Government Secondary School Nukkai.
Speaking at the designated venues, the State Coordinator of Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All, CSACE, Patience Ngati Danjuma said education for the girl-child is significant to the growth of any nation.
She told the girls that it is possible to be whatever they desire in life as a limitation to achieving success is a mindset.
Commenting, the founder of Alheri Center for Women and Child Care Development, Eglah Ibrahim said for ages women have been marginalized in different ways hence the United Nation's decision to push for equality for the girl-child.
She said girls can as well aspire for greater career paths like their male counterparts and encouraged them to work on their self-esteem.
Earlier, the Director of Social Mobilization at Taraba State Basic Education Board Nguveren Myegba described the girl-child as a special creation with unique abilities.
She appreciated the students for their zeal and tasked them to be proactive, self-aware, and prayerful in the cause of pursuing their life goals.
In her separate remarks, the Principal of Our Lady Queen of Consolation Girls Secondary School Sister Esther John Audu appreciated the CSOs for pushing for the rights of the girl-child in Nigeria.
